We provide a full range of architectural services, and are equally skilled in design as we are in delivery.

Feasibility & Concept Design: We will undertake a detailed site analysis, commission surveys where necessary, research planning policy, and work closely with the client to fully develop a brief. From this we generate design ideas and options for further discussion. We will also advise on other consultants that may be required.

Planning Process: We work closely with planning authorities and local communities to try to secure the best possible planning consent. We have extensive experience working in the historic environment, in conservation areas and on listed buildings. We also have significant experience in appeal situations and providing evidence at public inquiry.

Detailed Design: We produce drawings and specifications for contractors to tender and for approval of Building Regulations, and we work closely with Building Control Inspectors to achieve optimum results. During the pre-construction stage we are able to provide the services of Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015, if required.

Cost Control: We are acutely aware of the importance of cost. Budgets available for construction, consultant fees, statutory charges and VAT are discussed at an early stage, and are regularly reviewed to ensure that the design is correctly tailored to suit the budget.

Production Information & Construction: We will produce working drawings and specifications for contractors to use for construction. We can give advice on which building contract to use and can provide JCT contract administration duties on smaller projects. Throughout the construction period we visit site, review progress of the work and attend or chair site meetings until completion.

We regularly work both client-side on traditional JCT contracts, as well as under novation to the contractor in a design-and-build situation.
